We know it's tough out there, so if you've got a great film, organization or project that shares our mission we may be able to help.
Cinereach offers grant awards in three funding categories:
Media for Social Change - fostering the use of media to empower individuals and communities to work toward social change.
Issue Awareness – developing and supporting documentary or narrative films that bring critical issues relating to Cinereach’s mission to broader public awareness.
Film Community Infrastructure - supporting organizations that encourage emerging filmmakers and provide venues and audiences for films that are aligned with Cinereach's mission.
The Cinereach grant committee meets twice a year to review grant applications and assign awards. Application for a Cinereach grant begins with a 2-page letter of inquiry. Cinereach is now accepting letters of inquiry for its February 2009 grant cycle.
Please include the following information in your 2-page letter of inquiry:
* Legal name and contact information of the individual or organization
* Mission and purpose of the organization and/or project and its consistency with Cinereach's mission
* How the request applies to one or more of Cinereach's funding categories (Media for Social Change; Issue Awareness; Film Community Infrastructure)
* Total project budget, and the amount and proposed uses of a Cinereach grant award
* Anticipated impact of the requested grant award and how this impact will be measured
* Qualifications of the individual or organization, and, if an organization,the qualifications of the key leadership and staff

Only letters received by December 1, 2008 will be considered for our next grant cycle in February 2009.
