About this Grantee:

imMEDIAcy is an organization that provides education, training, and centralization of media to traditionally underrepresented communities. imMEDIAcy’s website serves as a hub for photography, film, audio, text, and multimedia work that addresses social justice issues, especially work that is created by the communities we are serving. The organization will set the foundation for media creation by starting programs that will train those interested in learning journalistic technical and conceptual skills. The skills taught in these programs will enable participants, through the use of media, to engage their local communities in meaningful dialogue, as well reach a global audience through our website immediacynow.org. In addition to working on a local level with communities, imMEDIAcy seeks to transform the ways in which media is disseminated by promoting universal standards of accountability and transparency.
