About the Film:
When a union worker is murdered at a bottling plant in rural Colombia, his 14-year-old daughter embarks on a quest for justice larger than her family, her village, or even her country. Worlds away, a public relations executive is offered a shot to rise through the ranks of her beloved corporation… if she puts a lid on the controversy surrounding her company’s connection to the murder in Colombia. Although they come from opposing worlds, both women face the same question: remain silent in order to survive, or speak out to truly live? An international political thriller based on explosive, real events, The Scribe of Uraba is the experience of a rare moment when opposite lives collide, and the unavoidable transformations that result.
