About the Film:
The Conroy family live on the edge of society, deep in the rural south, surviving off the land around them. When Jack discovers his mother dead at the edge of a field, he and his brother set out on an arduous journey to carry out her last wishes.
About the Filmmakers:
Alistair Banks Griffin was born in Basingstoke, England and raised in New Orleans. Griffin studied painting, film and art history at the Rhode Island School of Design. In 2008, his short film Gauge premiered at the New York Film Festival. In 2009, he was the recipient of a Cinereach grant for his feature film Two Gates of Sleep. In 2010, Two Gates of Sleep premiered at the Director’s Fortnight section of Cannes, and has been included in the Deauville, London, Sao Paulo & Tokyo film festivals. Griffin is a co-founder of contemporary art gallery Fake Estate in New York City.
