Cinereach grantee October Country, a film by Michael Palmieri & Donal Mosher, received an incredible 5-star Time Out NY review! Critic Kevin B. Lee calls the film, “Intimate yet larger-than-life, this masterpiece of the everyday shows you don’t need James Cameron’s toy box to make images pop from the screen, much less to see and embrace the world anew.” Click here for the full review.

A huge congratulations to Cinereach grant recipient OCTOBER COUNTRY, a documentary film co-directed by Michael Palmieri & Donal Mosher. Their film about Mosher’s upstate-NY family just received 5 nominations for the 2010 Cinema Eye Awards!

The Cinema Eye Honors for Nonfiction Filmmaking recognize and honor exemplary craft and innovation in nonfiction film. Cinema Eye’s mission is to advocate for, recognize and promote the highest commitment to rigor and artistry in the nonfiction field. The Cinema Eye Awards Ceremony will be held January 15th 2010, at The Times Center, New York City.

Cinereach grant recipient OCTOBER COUNTRY, a film by Michael Palmieri and Donal Mosher, will screen in competition at the 2009 Woodstock Film Festival. Screenings are on October 3rd at 7:15pm and October 4th at 3:15pm.

Celebrating a decade of innovative filmmakers & filmmaking, the Woodstock Film Festival has unveiled its 10th Anniversary Line-up of extraordinary films, panels, and events, screening Wednesday Sept. 30 through Sunday Oct. 4, in the arts colony of Woodstock NY, and neighboring towns of Rhinebeck, Kingston and Rosendale. The 2009 line-up embodies the festival’s “fiercely independent” spirit, while upholding the tradition of quality filmmaking, causing filmmakers and industry professionals to hail WFF as “one of the very best regional film festivals in the world”.
