About the Film:

A young man visits his grandparents and is the first in his family to realize the pair should no longer be living on their own.

About the Filmmakers:

Nick Paley studied film at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. His thesis short, Picture Day, produced with the support of the Warner Bros. Film Fund Award, was a national finalist for the 2008 Student Academy Awards and has played at festivals across the country. His previous short film, Andy and Zach, premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. He hails from Vermont.

Nick’s Reach Film Fellowship mentor, Jay Van Hoy, established the production company Parts and Labor with Lars Knudsen. In 2010 Parts and Labor premiered Aaron Katz’s Cold Weather at South by Southwest and Cam Archer’s Shit Year (starring Ellen Barkin) in the Director’s Fortnight at Cannes. Mike Mills’ Beginners (starring Ewan McGregor, Melanie Laurent and Christopher Plummer) premiered as a Special Presentation at the 2010 Toronto Film Festival.
