About the Film:

A coming-of-age story of three young activists who come together to try and end the war in Iraq. They are members of “The Organization”, a short-lived student movement that aimed to foment a revolution in the United States.

About the Filmmakers:

Nicholas Bruckman produced and directed La Americana, a feature documentary following an undocumented immigrant’s journey across borders to save her ailing daughter. La Americana won 7 awards at over 30 film festivals, and received funding from the Fledgling Fund and NYSCA for its national audience engagement campaign for immigrant rights.

A graduate of SUNY Purchase, Nicholas’ thesis film, Kashmir: Voices of Occupation, earned him the statewide university Chancellor’s Award.

Nicholas’ documentary short The Grey Movie screened at Rooftop Films. Bruckman’s other production credits include Bronx Princess (POV 2009) and The New Recruits (PBS 2010).

Nicholas currently works as a producer at Ironbound Films, and has directed dozens of corporate documentary projects for a variety of clients, including Cisco Systems and Time Inc.
