About the team

Lauren Greenfield (Director, Producer) Greenfield is considered a preeminent chronicler of youth culture and gender as a result of her groundbreaking projects Girl Culture, Fast Forward, and THIN. Her first film THIN, aired on HBO, premiered at Sundance (2006) and received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Direction (2007). Her subsequent short, kids + money, screened at Sundance and won the Audience Award at the AFI Film Festival.

Danielle Renfrew (Producer) Renfrew has had four features premiere at Sundance, including Waitress (Fox Searchlight), American Son (Miramax), November and Groove (Sony Classics). She produced the documentary Double Dare, which premiered at Toronto and won the audience award at AFI and SF International.

Tom Hurwitz (Director of Photography) Hurwitz’s films have won two Emmys, a Sundance Award and four Academy Awards. His filmography includes Harlan County USA, Valentino: The Last Emperor, Dance Maker, and Wild Man Blues.

Victor Livingston (Editor) Livingston has edited classic character-driven documentaries such as Crumb, and Cormans World: Exploits of a Hollywood Rebel which premiered at Sundance 2011, and screened at Cannes.

Mary Lampson, Kate Amend, and Joe Bini are creative advisors on the film.

The Queen of Versailles is a Cinereach grantee.
