Cinereach is seeking a Manager of Content Affairs to help steward projects through our content evaluation and decision-making process, from initial submission through final disposition. Reporting to the Head of Content Affairs, this role combines editorial judgment, project management, and clear communication to help identify and advance work aligned with Cinereach’s creative, narrative, and impact priorities.
As a trusted partner to the Head of Content Affairs and key connector across the organization, you will evaluate projects, coordinate cross-functional review, synthesize perspectives into clear recommendations, and keep stakeholders informed throughout the process. This role is ideal for someone who brings curiosity and discernment to creative work, along with the organization and follow-through to keep a high-volume pipeline moving.
Content Review & Evaluation
• Own end-to-end management of Cinereach's content intake process, including administration of our submissions platform and clear tracking of every project's status." to me evaluate projects more efficiently
• Coordinate cross-functional reviews and synthesize input to support clear, informed decisions by the Head of Content Affairs and organizational leadership.
Project & Process Management
• Manage projects from submission through review, decision, communication, and closeout, keeping status, ownership, deadlines, and next steps clear.
• Track open questions, approvals, volume, and bottlenecks to keep work moving and surface issues early.
• Maintain Cinereach’s submissions platform, internal knowledge base, and project records, and provide useful reporting on project activity and decisions.
• Improve tools and workflows as Cinereach’s content needs and volume evolve.
Partner Relations & Portfolio Management
• Represent Cinereach’s voice and values in communications with filmmakers, artists, representatives, and the broader creative community.
• Serve as a key point of contact for external partners throughout the review process.
• Communicate decisions and relevant updates clearly, thoughtfully, and in a timely manner, including when Cinereach does not move forward.
• Build a consistent and respectful experience for partners across their interactions with Cinereach.
Within your first year, you will have helped establish a content evaluation process that feels clear, responsive, and dependable to both internal and external partners. Success will look like:
• A well-managed pipeline in which every active project has a clear status, owner, next step, and accessible decision history.
• A responsive submissions experience, with clear expectations and consistent follow-through for filmmakers and representatives.
• Cross-functional reviews that lead to timely, well-informed decisions rather than lingering open loops.
• Reliable reporting that gives the Head of Content Affairs and leadership an accurate view of the pipeline without requiring additional follow-up.
• Strong internal trust in the Manager of Content Affairs as a source of clarity, coordination, and sound judgment.
• Content processes and systems that can adapt as Cinereach’s priorities, volume, and ways of working evolve.
There are many paths to the skills and perspective this role requires. We take a broad view of experience and are most interested in candidates who can demonstrate many of the following:
• 4+ years of relevant experience in film, media, arts and culture, philanthropy, or another creative or mission-driven environment.
• Experience reviewing creative or mission-driven material and developing thoughtful recommendations about fit, quality, or prioritization.
• Strong project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple active projects, stakeholders, and deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the judgment and professionalism to communicate with filmmakers, representatives, and other external partners.
• Demonstrated ability to gather differing perspectives, identify what matters most, and synthesize input into clear recommendations and next steps.
• Experience working with databases, submission platforms, CRM-style systems, project-management tools, or other systems used to track a high volume of work.
• Sound judgment and comfort navigating ambiguity, competing priorities, and decisions that require balancing creative, mission, financial, and organizational considerations.
• A collaborative working style and the ability to build trust across functions in a remote, distributed environment.
Also valuable: Additional experience that may be helpful includes familiarity with film financing, grantmaking, rights, or deal structures; relationships across film, narrative impact, digital, social, or emerging media; and experience working in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.

This is a full-time position on Cinereach’s remote, distributed team and requires regular collaboration across functions and locations.
The salary range for this role is $95 - 110k annually. Cinereach offers a comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k) matching, health insurance, generous holiday, vacation and sick leave, and professional development support.
